Steps to Cancel
According to ADT, customers cannot cancel their services online. Individuals must contact the security company directly to request the termination of their services.
- Call 1-800-243-1748.
- Ask the customer service agent to cancel your ADT service.
- Request an email or letter confirming your ADT account cancellation.
Note: ADT’s security contracts are usually 36-months long. The company may require customers to pay a termination fee. If so, they’ll need to pay 75 percent of the remaining contract.
For example, if a person pays $50 per month, the individual will be required to pay $1,350 if they just started their ADT service and missed the three-day cancellation period.
