Match.com, also known as Match, is an online dating service with websites serving over 50 countries in twelve languages. Match.com claims to have led to more dates, relationships, and marriages than any other dating site. Match.com is owned by Match Group, which owns several online dating services. Match.com was founded in 1993 by Gary Kremen and Peng T. Ong in San Francisco, California operating under the company formally named Electric Classifieds Inc. It is now headquartered at 8300 Douglas AvenueSuite 800, Dallas, TX 75225. In 1997, Match.com was purchased by Cendant. In 1999 Match.com was sold to IAC. In September 2001, Match.com partnered with AOL and MSN, with the idea that Love@AOL and MSN Dating and Personals would allow a more diverse audience to gain access to Match.com. In late 2003/early 2003, Match.com introduced a service called MatchLive, where dates would meet in a public location for social activities and speed dating. In early 2006 Dr. Phil McGraw, of the popular Dr. Phil Show, became the Match.com celebrity spokesperson. In 2009 Match.com purchased People Media, the parent company of AOL Personals, BlackPeopleMeet.com, and OurTime.com. In 2010, Match.com purchased SinglesNet. In 2012 Match.com bought OkCupid and created Stir, a service that offered local events for Match.com members to attend. In 2014 Match.com launched Stream, which is an app that uses location technology and algorithms to match people based on photographs and location. In 2022, Match Group released a new service called Stir, a dating app for single parents. Match.com has set requirements for its new members to keep their members safe. New users must be 18 or older, they must be single or separated from their spouse, they must have not been convicted or pled no contest to a felony, sex crime, or any crime involving violence, and they must not be required to register as a sex offender. There are several Standard Match Plans that will give you access to send messages and chat with that special someone. The 3-month access plan is $24.99 a month. The 6-month plan is only $15.99 a month. And if you need a little more time to communicate, the 12-month plan is only $11.99 a month, a 60% savings. To subscribe to Match.com, you must first subscribe to a free plan. With a free subscription, you can browse Match.com, search for and view matches, create a profile, send and receive “winks,” use Match.com’s message center, and use the Match.com app, which is available through the App Store and Google Play. Match.com also offers Subscription Add-Ons that include e-mail read notifications, matchPhone, Private Mode, and Reply for Free. You can add these features during the subscription process, or if you would like to add them after you subscribe, you can do so at a pro-rated fee. After subscribing to a free membership, you can then upgrade to a paid membership. All you have to do is click on Subscribe/Upgrade from your Profile page if you’re using the Match app or Subscribe in the navigation bar at the top of the Match.com website. You can also purchase a Match.com membership through the iOS app using your iTunes account as an in-app purchase. If you choose this option, your membership will be managed by Apple. Your third payment option is a prepaid credit card. If you wish to renew your subscription, you must ensure that there are sufficient funds on the prepaid card. Finally, your last option for payment is by mail using a check or money order. This method is only available in the United States. Make sure you provide your username, e-mail address, and if you would like to subscribe to the 3-month or 6-month subscription. 3. Request that the agent cancel your account
4. When asked, give the agent your account information
5. Request your final balance, and ensure you won’t be charged again
