Newspapers.com is an online database of newspaper archives from around the world. The site was launched in 2012 as an offshoot of Ancestry.com as part of its genealogy research resources. Newspapers.com contains over 300 million pages from historical newspapers, drawn from over 7,500 papers across the USA and Canada, as well as international newspaper archives from several other countries. Papers available on the site date back as far as the 1700s and as recently as the 2000s. Members can use the site to search not only birth, marriage, and death notifications from newspapers but also to gain information about anniversaries and divorces, disasters and tragedies, local and unusual events, and legal notices. Basic memberships include access to over 129 million pages from more than 7,200 papers. These memberships are available in a 1 or 6-month subscription for $7.95 per month or $44.95 for 6 months. The Publisher Extra account option is also available in 1 or 6-month subscriptions, for $19.90 per month or $74.90 for 6 months. A 7-day free trial is available for either membership type, which will automatically convert to a paid membership of that type if not cancelled during the trial period. All memberships do automatically renew at the end of each month or 6-month period, but there is no minimum commitment term and memberships may be cancelled at any point. You may also keep the membership you have paid for and turn off the automatic renewal. We have gathered some additional information which can be found below to help you cancel your newspapers.com subscription.
