PeopleFinders is a public record and background check search site. The site was founded in May 2002 by Robert Miller and has its headquarters in San Francisco, California. PeopleFinders provides its members with the ability to search for contact information for individuals, as well as background checks, criminal records, and public records information on births, deaths, marriages, or divorces. Individuals may also remove their own personal information from the site’s databases. Information in the databases available from PeopleFinders comes from various sources including public records and various government agencies. Membership on PeopleFinders website is available in one of two tiers. Basic membership unlimited searches, with records available that include current and former contact information, reverse phone number searches, addresses and phone numbers, other names an individual may have been known by, date of birth and age, and relatives or other associated individuals. Basic memberships are offered for $9.95 for the first month and $24.95 per month after the first month. A Premium membership also offers unlimited searches with records that include the information in basic searches plus searches for criminal records, public records data, bankruptcy, judgment, or lien information, property records, birth and death records, and marriage and divorce records for $9.95 for the first month and $29.95 per month after the first month. Both membership options automatically renew each month but have no minimum commitment and can be cancelled at any time. Steps to cancel by Login
  1. Visit
  2. Login with the email and password
  3. Click “My account”
  4. Click “My account” again on the next page
  5. By scrolling left, find “cancel” and click it
  6. Retain any confirmation numbers or emails you receive for your records
Steps to cancel by Phone (Live Agent)
  1. Call 800-718-8997
  2. Request that the agent cancel your account
  3. When asked, give the agent your account information
  4. Request your final balance, and ensure you won’t be charged again
  5. Request that the agent provide you with a confirmation number or email
  6. Retain any confirmation numbers or emails you receive for your records
