Loot Crate is a monthly subscription box service. It includes boxes filled with geek and game-related merchandise. It was founded in 2012 by Chris Davis and Matthew Arevalo. The goal of Loot Crate was to have “comic-con in a box”. The company has over 200,000 subscribers in over 10 countries throughout the world. The company was ranked #1 on Inc’s Fastest Growing Private Companies in 2016. Some featured partners of the company are Mass Effect, Halo, Marvel, Harry Potter, Fallout, Minecraft, Nickelodeon, Firefly, Samrio, WWE, Destiny, Cartoon Network, and Overwatch. Several famous YouTubers also partner with the company, providing advertising and promotion via exclusive reviews and first-look unboxing content.
The first step during the sign-up process is finding and choosing your crate. You can choose between various crates under Pop Culture, Gaming, Film and TV, and Sci-Fi and Fantasy. After you have chosen your crate, it will be prepared for shipment. Your crate will include a bundle of apparel, figures, and more exclusive theme-based content. Your crate will be delivered directly to you and you will be able to unbox the ultimate geek subscription box, enjoying all of the goodies that are shipped to you. Boxes are shipped on a monthly basis. They typically arrive between the 1st and 10th of every month. Pricing varies depending on the crate that you choose. There are also products available for individual purchase. These can be found in the Loot Vault. If you are a sports fan, you can purchase sport-themed crates in the Sports Crate section. Each month, you are welcome to share your content and photos in the Loot Crate Community section on the website.
