Classmates is an online social networking website that helps you locate high school friends and classmates. Randy Conrads founded Classmates Online, Inc. on November 17, 1995, to assist users in locating classmates and colleagues from kindergarten, primary school, high school, college, workplaces, and the United States military. CEO Mark Goldston described the website’s transition to “increasingly focus on nostalgic content” such as “high school yearbooks, movie trailers, music tracks, and photographic images” in 2010. To that end, and to appeal to older users, the website name was changed to Memory Lane, along with a website redesign. This change, however, was brief. In 2011, Classmates discontinued the Memory Lane brand. United Online, Inc. (Nasdaq: UNTD) bought Classmates Online in 2004 and ran it through its Classmates Media Corporation subsidiary until 2015. Under the Classmates.com and MyPoints brands, Classmates Media provided online social networking and loyalty marketing services. StayFriends.de (Germany), StayFriends.se (Sweden), StayFriends.at (Austria), and Trombi.com were also international sites that allowed users to reconnect with old friends (France). Strer purchased the StayFriends sites in May 2016. PeopleConnect Holdings, Inc., a portfolio company of H.I.G. Capital purchased Classmates from United Online in August 2015 for $30 million. Classmates are now managed by PeopleConnect, which also owns Intelius. The business model of Classmates Media Corporation is based on user-generated content and revenue from paid subscriptions and advertising sales. Classmates only appeared on Hitwise’s top 10 list of social networking websites once, in June 2009, when it ranked tenth with a 0.45% market share. In early 2008, Nielsen Online ranked Classmates as the third most popular social networking site in the United States (home and work). Classmates Media had more than 50 million members as of June 30, 2008, but only 3.8 million paid subscribers. Classmates.com was mentioned on the television show The View in 2006 as having more than 40 million members in the United States and Canada. Classmates.com ranked fourth among the Top 25 Web Destinations Ranked by Consumer Content Revenue in both 2002 and 2003, according to the Online Publishers Association Paid Content U.S. Market Spending Report (the last years that individual site rankings were broken out). The site’s popularity has declined as more users have moved to Facebook. One of the first social networks was Classmates.com. However, its practice of charging customers small fees regularly prevented it from reaching the scale and popularity of later social sites. Classmates had over 70 million current members in 2015 (the year the company turned 20), and the number is steadily growing today. Members of Classmates.com use their real names rather than screen names (although some members use fake names). A double-blind email system protects member privacy, so email addresses and contact information are never revealed unless members self-disclose one-on-one. Registration as a basic Classmates.com member is free. Basic members can create profiles, search the entire social networking service for friends, and receive emails when strangers visit their profiles. Classmates+ (formerly Gold) members can read and respond to every message in their Classmates Inbox, see the names of others who have visited their profile, see who remembers them and how they’re remembered, and receive a discount on yearbook reprints. With a free Classmates membership, you can access an online archive of over 300,000 yearbooks. The oldest yearbook in the collection is the Central High School yearbook from 1885. (Manchester, NH). Classmates’ yearbook collection includes many celebrity yearbooks, which are discovered and featured on the company’s blog regularly. Over 350,000 class reunions were planned using the website of classmates. Every year, over 5 million members were invited to a reunion. Classmates Virtual Reunion is a fun and easy way to connect with fellow alumni through an online gathering! Virtual reunions are completely free to organize and attend. 4. By scrolling up, find the gear icon
5. Click the gear icon
6. Click “Account”
7. Click “Email subscriptions”
8. Click each box on the page and select “unsubscribe”
9. By scrolling up, find “Personal Information”
10. Click “Personal information”
11. Click the box next to “Show my information” to uncheck it
12. By scrolling up, find “Billing”
13. Click “Billing”
14. By scrolling down, find “Account information”
15. Click “Turn off automatic renewal”
16. Click “yes” to confirm
17. By scrolling down, find the credit card information section
18. Click “Delete credit card”

Follow these steps:

2. Choose phone menu option 1
3. Request that the agent cancel your account
4. When asked, give the agent your account information
5. Request your final balance, and ensure you won’t be charged again
6. Request that you be given a refund
7. Request that the agent provide you with a confirmation number or email
8. Retain any confirmation numbers or emails you receive for your records
